Artist's Comments

To show the back detail on the Dark Cabaret dress. Design by Ellaine [link] and made by me (obviously)

The back bustle contains the bulk of the fabric, and in the original deaign does train slightly. For sheer practicality (getting in and out of shops etc) I have it skimming about 1cm off the floor. The big satin bow is not functional, I just felt the small of the back looked a bit plain compared to the busy bustle.

The fabric is a printed polycotton and the black frills are a combination of purchased satin ribbon and satin that I made into ribbon, if that makes sense.

I'm really glad I went with the bow. Compared to the bustle, the back was too plain without it. Big stripes were Ellaine's idea. Thankyou
